Thursday, July 1st - 5:15pm class is cancelled for the Holiday.
Friday, July 2nd - 9:30am class is also cancelled for the Holiday.
Yoga is best done daily, with a combination of formal instruction and personal practice. So we've introduced our unlimited monthly passes at a very reasonable rate to encourage you to do more yoga.

Our yoga studio at Balance caters to a variety of students. We have a growing population of beginner students who are enjoying the Kripalu influence at Balance. Our beginner classes cater to developing flexibility and strength of both the mind and body as well as cultivating body and breath awareness. Our intermediate classes (i.e. Level I classes) cater to those students who have experience with yoga and want to flow from one posture to another being reminded of the posture through verbal cueing and visual demonstrations. Our more advanced classes cater to more of the athletic and physically fit bodies (and minds!) rather than to those seeking more advanced posture sequences. We have excellent teachers who come with a variety of experiences, educations, and complementary backgrounds. We have several teachers in our community including Amanda (Mandy) Wintink, and Bethany Perry, Hollianna MacKay.

Yoga is...
Yoga is the union of the Mind, Body, and Spirit. At Balance, yoga practices are primarily based on the Ashtanga and Kripalu philosophy. Ashtanga practice is to create heat in the body, which leads to purification of the mind and body through increased circulation and sweating. Kripalu yoga focuses on meditation in motion.
Yoga offers many benefits including relaxation, stress management, pain reduction, muscle building and toning, flexibility, and detoxification of the body. The class sizes are small to allow for more individual attention. We can also work with you individually or we can create a program for a group.
Although Yoga is available to everyone, often times it is important for the right student to work with the right teacher, right class, and right environment.
