Introductory Yoga

Wednesdays, 6:00 - 7:15 pm, Drop-in

In the beginner class, the emphasis is on coordination of breath, safety, and alignment in the Kirpalu tradition. There is also an emphasis on core strength in order to build up the necessary strength to maintain postures.

Every so often, we return to the basics with a 4-week intro class for new students and to refresh "experienced" beginners.
The 4-week class is designed to give new students a strong introduction to the basic postures of yoga. There is less emphasis on flow vinyasa in order to facilitate learning of postures. Students will also have the opportunity to practice postures at home between classes.

The next 4-week session will begin Wed, April 8th at 6:00. Pre-registration is required.

Yoga Basics serves as a drop-in introductory level yoga class on Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:15 pm with Amanda; however, all new students are encouraged to start with the 4-week program, when possible.
