I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings. — Margaret Mead

Hollianna McKay, RYT

Hollianna was introduced to Yoga about 10 years ago, but it became a permanent part of her life in 2005. Something always called her back to it although unaware at the time of the "non-physical" benefits. Now with a dedicated daily practice, Hollianna is able to see how It has helped her enormously to emerge from repetitive psychological patterns (samskaras) and be at peace with "what is". Hollianna is a Registered Yoga Teacher, certified at the 200 hr. level in the Kripalu style of mindful, meditative movement and has participated in various workshops from recognized teachers in Canada and the United States, continuing to passionately pursue her studies in Yoga and mindfulness and delight in the insights and skills gained through her daily Mysore practice with her current teacher in the Ashtanga method. Hollianna encourages an intuitive practice through constant attention to subtle signs in the body/mind, yet provides the important alignment principles that foster a grounded and safe practice. Hollianna teaches Beginner Kripalu, and Intermediate/Vigorous Vinyasa Flow classes, and considers it paramount that students are provided a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment for the cultivation of balanced strength/flexibility, mindfulness, and healing.
