Balance Naturopathic Health Centre

I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings. — Margaret Mead

Find the balance

Often we live our lives without enough energy to spare to take care of our selves or our personal issues. Often, or consequently, we live our lives without enough energy to spare to take care of global issues (e.g. environmental, societal, political, economic, health). In order for us to be productive in this world and to contribute to its "health" we must take care of our selves first and foremost. We need to nurture our selves: our bodies, our minds, our emotions, our dreams, our spirit. When these elements are in balance we ARE balanced. We begin to refrain from overconsumption, exploitation, and devastation. When enough of us are balanced, a collective balance can emerge. We collectively begin to refrain from overconsumption, exploitation, and devastation. Once a collective balance occurs the earth can move closer to its natural balanced state. Accordingly, our contribution to this world and its people can start with egocentric balance. Be proud to contribute whatever you can afford even if it is 5 minutes of reflection or introspection. Collectively, it can add up.
