Balance Naturopathic Health Centre

I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings. — Margaret Mead

Dr. Amanda Wintink, PhD, RYT

Dr. Amanda Wintink, PhD (Neuroscience), Life Coach, and Yoga Teacher, facilitates this process by guiding you with exercises and questions while teaching you how your brain works and how to get your brain working for you! Yoga, EFT, Meditation, Mindfulness, Self-Observation, and Thought Reframing are just some of the tools she combines for an eclectic, rewarding, and expert-driven Life-Coaching Session. Dr. Wintink takes a particularly novel approach by combining her training in neuroscience. She helps you become the best you by helping you understand how your brain and mind works. Combining neuroscience with ancient yoga and meditation teachings make the self-exploration and self-reflection an exciting journey! If you're curious about you, you'll enjoy one-on-one, workshops, and yoga classes with Dr. Wintink.

Dr. Amanda Wintink, Ph.D. works with each person to develop a unique plan to regain balance and health. Dr. Wintink also practices Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). She is also a certified yoga teacher in the kripalu tradition and teaches Mindful Yoga.

Dr. Wintink is available to see clients during limited times throughout the year at Balance and over the phone. To see her in person, contact Balance directly and to book a phone session you can contact her directly via email.

As our Yoga Director, Dr. Amanda Wintink, earned her PhD in neuroscience and psychology before becoming a life coach and yoga teacher in the kripalu tradition. Mandy also draws expertise from her athletic background as a varsity hockey player from Dalhousie and as a touring competitive ultimate Frisbee player. Her eclectic background converges to create an environment that challenges the body and mind toward both upper and lower limits, to foster body-mind awareness, and to cultivate physical and mental relaxation. Mandy loves teaching her beginner classes by providing a welcoming environment to explore one's edge. She also loves teaching her signature Boot Camp class to help students understand the need to "listen to the body" rather than the teacher.
