Low-Light Laser Therapy new at Balance
August 24th, 2009
Low Light laser therapy - a new modality in the treatment of pain.
Low light laser therapy is one of the major advances in pain therapy in recent years. By reducing inflammation, it speeds up the body's own ability to heal naturally. This cutting edge technology is relaxing, painless, and safe for all ages.
Laser therapy is the application of red and near infrared light over injuries or wounds to improve soft tissue healing and relieve both acute and chronic pain. Low-level therapy uses cold laser light energy to direct bio-stimulative light energy to the body's cells without injuring or damaging them in any way. When low level laser light penetrates deeply into the skin, it optimizes the immune responses of our blood. This has both anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects, which has a positive effective throughout the whole body, supplying vital oxygen and energy to every cell.
Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, David Beckham, The Toronto Raptors, and The National Ballet are among athletes who use and endorse laser therapy for the healing of sports related injuries. Although useful for sport-related injury, Low-light laser therapy is effective for injuries that are not just sports related.
