Detoxify Your Body Tips
- Mentally Detox. Decrease your stress. I know everyone tells me, "I can't change the stress in my life". I agree but you can change the impact that stress has on your body. Feeling stressed? Do some Yoga, take a nice hot bath or read a book. I guarantee your stress hormones will be lower than before you did any of the above. Stress hormones are what tell our body we are stressed and interfere with the detoxification pathways in the body.
- Eat fiber to detox your colon, decrease your cholesterol, and help the body get rid of excess fat that stores our toxins.
- Can the coffee. Research has shown that 4 cups of coffee or tea per day cause your body to be in a state of constant stress for the entire day! Imagine so for those of you who say they can't decrease the stress in their life-decrease or stop your caffeine it slows down the purification process in your body.
- Drink a minimum of 6 glasses of purified water per day. All 5 of your detoxification organs need water to do their basic jobs.
- Work it out! Exercise is the best way to absorb those excess stress hormones! Just 20-30 minutes a day of walking is enough to purge those excess stress hormones that cause tense muscles and mental irritability.
- Eat your whole foods! They have lots of fiber and lots of antioxidants which are anticancer compounds. Almonds contain Vitamin E that counteracts some of the negative effects of air pollution and heavy metals. Cabbage contains sulfur that helps our liver detoxify!
- Color your world! Veggies that are deep green or bright orange have beta carotene, which are loaded with antioxidants that reduce damage to the cell's DNA.
Take a big step today to getting healthier and happier! It is worth it!
